Refundable and Non-Refundable deposit before a bid.
Sometimes a sale isn’t successfully completed, such as when the high bidder doesn’t pay for the vehicle within 8 calendar days including the day of the sale, or the Seller doesn’t approve of the final bid. In such cases a vehicle is relisted for a future auction. A relisting fee of 10% of the final sale price or $600 – whichever is higher – will be charged by Copart.
This is a non=refundable fee that we charge all interested bidders prior to the bidding to avoid incurring the cost of a relist on Copart. The $600 is added to your final purchase payment if you decide to pay for the vehicle won.
No, you can purchase vehicle insurance from the shipping company. We can help facilitate your insurance need, we can offer some options and tips. Drive off with your dream car regardless of your choice of insurance.
If you are participating in a live auction, the system will tell you that you’ve won. You can also go to the Payments Due tab at the top of the page and see a list of vehicles you’ve won. In addition, you can check the Bid Status tab if you’re logged in. Lastly, Copart will alert you by email, text message, or push notification in the Copart Member App, depending on the methods of contact you selected in Preference Center.
Now you need to Pay for your vehicle, fees and any services, and decide how you want to acquire your Vehicles and Titles.
If you placed a Max Bid or lost a vehicle on your Watch List, you find them listed in the Bid Status tab. Copart will also alert based on the methods you set in the Preference Center.
Don’t give up all hope. Sometimes a sale isn’t successfully completed, such as when the high bidder doesn’t pay for the vehicle in a timely manner, or the Seller doesn’t approve of the final bid. In such cases a vehicle is relisted for a future auction.
If you hit your bid limit, you’ll need to either increase your buying power or wait. Once a vehicle you’ve bid on sells, the bid amount will return to your available Buying Power.
You can purchase a vehicle before an auction by searching for Buy It Now vehicles, or vehicles with the Make An Offer option.
If you didn’t win a vehicle but you still want to buy it after the auction, it may re-list if the sale isn’t successfully completed.

If you have paid Copart already, contact the location directly. Copart locations are individually managed and responsible for addressing all vehicle-specific inquiries and disputes.
Ties aren’t possible in Live Bidding. If a Live Bidder ties your Max-Bid, the system will bid one more increment above your limit to try to win the vehicle. In the event a tie still occurs, the live bidder will win the vehicle.
